About Jeremy
"A truly refreshing young man, living sometime in the late-nineteenth century, in all the best senses of that calculation: He longs for a world alive with poetry, marked by affairs of the heart, and driven by a commitment always to doing the best and the most exciting. He is a poet; he speaks and writes like a poet, and he searches always for the heart of the idea, the soul of truth, in every task he undertakes. He is one of those rare individuals capable of crisscrossing the line between the visual and the verbal." » Anne-Marie Oliver & Barry Sanders, the founders of CT+CR & OICR + E4

Learn to love writing again without, auto-correct software, AI-generated prompts, or the pressures of stringent academics. Writing is a tool that can be utilized in every aspect of life as it pertains to how we think & interact with the world.
As a creative writer, my tutelage is designed to create playful methods based upon tried and true constraints that can challenge, excite, & inspire unlikely base materials that you can sculpt into specific forms. With a focus on writing appreciation, ritual, and sandboxing–the hope is that even for those who do not enjoy writing, the entry point to do so will be a fruitful endeavor at the very least. As a very dear friend once said, "If you have a problem write about it, & if writing doesn't help you simply haven't written enough."
– Learn & explore the methodologies of individual writers and movements through empirical instructions in which the result is simply completion & reflection.
– Write essays based on prompts from writers from the constraints of the Oulipo movement via George Perec alongside the freedom to create your own (SOMA)TIC poetry exercises based upon your interests outside of writing by way of CAConrad's methods.
Previous students have received scholarships & awards for the work that they created using methods learned from my previous teachings.
