About Ilsa
Hi guys! My name is Ilsa and I am currently a first year student at the University of Plymouth studying Biomedical Science. I specialise in everything Biology related so if you’re struggling with any of the key concepts in Biology then I am your girl!
I encourage new ways to learn and make sure that from the get go I learn how you learn the best so that we can see results as quick as possible.
There’s only one rule when it comes to my tutoring sessions and that’s: there are never any silly questions. Most of the time, you’re going to learn and remember things better if we’ve have a bit of a laugh along the way. :)

I would be a strong GCSE tutor because I combine academic knowledge with practical mentoring experience. As a Biomedical Science student at the University of Plymouth, I have developed a solid understanding of key scientific concepts and effective study techniques. My experience as a peer mentor has strengthened my ability to explain ideas clearly, support different learning styles, and build students’ confidence. I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping students achieve their full potential by making learning engaging and accessible.
In my spare time I am a keen reader and creative writer which is especially useful when it comes to the different sections in GCSE English Language and key parts of analysis in GCSE English Literature.
