About David
My name is David, I'm starting my first year of medical school classes online in August and will have time to tutor students ONLINE only (Zoom). I am a student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, in NYC. I have tutored for over 3 years, mostly in college general and organic chemistry, but also biochemistry and biology courses. I'm happy to work with students of any age, although my experience is about 80% college level and 20% high school. I have experience tutoring online over zoom and have had success with previous and current students doing virtual sessions. For any MCAT students I self-studied and scored a 523, so I can share tips for preparation/study strategies as well as content review. My teaching method depends on the student’s level of understanding. I begin by making sure the student understands the fundamentals of a topic and work in lots of practice problems and theory questions to make sure the student is up to speed. Students I have tutored over the years often respond better to different approaches of teaching, so I try and narrow down on what works for each individual.
