About Zhiting

With the deepening of globalisation, the Chinese language is becoming increasingly important in international exchanges. Mastering Chinese has become an important way for more and more people to enhance their personal competitiveness and expand their international horizons. As a Chinese language teacher, I will be a bridge connecting different countries and cultures, promoting international understanding and cooperation.Teaching Chinese language programmes is also a process of continuous learning and growth. In order to better impart knowledge, I need to constantly update my teaching philosophy and methodology, and keep abreast of the latest educational technologies and trends.

About the lesson

This course aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth Chinese learning environment for non-native Chinese learners. Through systematic language skills training, rich cultural experiences and simulation of practical communication scenarios, the course will help students not only master a solid Chinese language foundation, but also gain an in-depth understanding of the Chinese culture, and improve their cross-cultural communication skills.

Target Audience:
This course is intended for a wide range of students who are passionate about learning Chinese, including but not limited to:

Overseas Chinese descendants: Youth and adults who wish to revive and strengthen their family's language and cultural heritage.
International students and professionals: International friends who plan to study or work in China or are interested in the Chinese market.
Language enthusiasts: People who are interested in Chinese language and culture and want to broaden their horizons and enhance cross-cultural understanding.
Travellers: Those who wish to explore China better through learning Chinese and enjoy barrier-free travel.
Teaching Techniques and Methods:

Contextual Teaching Method: Simulate real life, work and study scenarios, so that students can learn and use Chinese in specific contexts to enhance the practicality and memorisation of the language.
Multimedia-assisted teaching: Using video, audio, pictures and other multimedia resources to enrich the teaching means, make the learning process more vivid and interesting, and enhance students' interest and enthusiasm in learning.
Interactive classroom: Encourage students to actively participate in classroom discussions, role-plays, group co-operation and other activities to promote effective interaction between teachers and students, and to improve their oral expression and teamwork skills.
Hierarchical teaching: Classes are divided according to the students' Chinese language level to ensure that each student learns at a level of difficulty that suits him/her and achieves personalised development.
Cultural Integration: While explaining the language knowledge, we also intersperse the introduction of Chinese history and culture, customs and social phenomena, etc., to help students better understand the cultural connotations behind the Chinese language and enhance their sense of cultural identity.
Feedback and Assessment: Regular assessments in the form of oral tests, written assignments, project presentations and other forms of assessment are conducted to give students timely feedback, help them identify and improve their learning deficiencies, and set milestones to motivate students to make continuous progress.
