About Tuhina
I want to help students achieve the best grades possible. I am an approachable, reliable and knowledgeable tutor. I go over excellence concepts in a clear and concise way. I have excellence level understanding and grades in all my subjects and help my students by sending my own excellence exemplars and excellence level working of solved questions. Some of my academic achievements: Level 1, 2 and 3 NCEA excellence endorsed. (I graduated at the age of 16). Level 2 excellence endorsement (14 or more E credits in a subject) in Physics, Chemistry, Physical Education, Maths, English and Biology. In fact, I got E in all the standards for Physics, Chemistry and P.E. 108 Excellence credits in Level 2. Level 3 excellence endorsement (14 or more E credits in a subject) in Chemistry, Biology, Calculus, Physical Education, Physics. NZQA Scholarship Biology 2022. I was a peer tutor in Wellington Girls, Queen Margaret College and Onslow College so I am very experienced at tutoring.

The length of a lesson can be 30 minutes and beyond (would recommend 1 hr). I can tutor level 1, 2 and 3 NCEA for Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Calculus, Maths, English and Physical Education and have E endorsed for level 1, 2 and 3. I can teach up to grade 8 piano and saxophone for any age. Qualifications/Experience: I was a peer tutor in Queen Margaret College, Wellington Girls' College and Onslow College since 2019. I have students through First Tutor. I have excellence endorsed (14 or more E credits) in all my level 2 subjects (over 108 E credits for 2022) - I have excellence endorsed in Calculus, Chemistry, Biology and Physical Education and merit endorsed in Physics. I helped my previous piano teacher with teaching students. My tutoring skills: My approach is to teach the key concepts first, then give the students specific practice to target that area and lastly, explain past exam questions. Use this method to teach each topic from a standard. I have very strong excellence level knowledge for all my subjects so I also send my own exemplars and my working for past papers. I spend a lot of time working on excellence level questions to ensure the best grades. Organisation - I plan ahead sessions content-wise, revise material and allocate personal resources that will be useful for my students. Friendly and Patient - Continually willing to help and do so in a way that encourages students and helps them achieve their best. Ensure that students are comfortable with the style of teaching and adapting to suit their needs.
