About Julia
Hi, I’m Julia! I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and a minor in Mathematics. Alongside my academic coursework, I spent two summers applying these technical concepts practically as a Research Data Analyst Intern at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. My background as a four-year NCAA varsity student-athlete has taught me the value of structured preparation, consistency, and patience. I bring the same disciplined, professional framework to my tutoring, breaking down complex mathematics, statistics, and programming concepts into clear, manageable steps to support your academic goals.

Hello! I am Julia, an honors data science and mathematics student looking to help students of all levels with complex mathematical concepts.
My teaching style does not center around memorization or handing over answers. Instead, my approach is rooted in applied learning and conceptual intuition. I am able to break down abstract and intimidating topics like mathematical theorems, data structures, and statistical pipelines into logical skills.
When working through each problem, I start by teaching or reviewing the concept with the student. I then introduce a problem that the student and I can work through together. I finally provide a second problem, and allow the student to solve it on their own to build up muscle memory of the topic.
I specialize in all kinds of math, having completed rigorous coursework for my major and minor at Tufts. I can help with more basic arithmetic and algebra, as well as geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus.
