About Alexander
I graduated from WSU in winter of 2018 . After graduating I took a posting in a cardiovascular and cancer research lab that I had worked in as an undergrad. I became lab safety manger, was given a few of my own major projects and became the go to person for my lab manger to task with creating ways to test new ideas. I'm a co-author and researcher for a paper involving rabid cancer detection for a cheap poc devices. Due to the lock downs in Washington, I have moved to Utah to pursue better career opportunities. I have a strong STEM background but am also creative. I spent grade 6 through 12 at an arts magnet school. I studied photography and technical theater while there. My time studying art has helped cultivate my creative side helping me to come up with unique solutions.

My teaching method is to break down the problem into its most basic components and than address each part as its only problem. looking for areas that could use alternative approaches for ease or to save time. If it's a problem area, than trying to figure out why it's a problem area and from there finding a suitable way to address it. Than working on building each component into a working solution and a way to address further similar problems in the future.
As an engineer, I believe in working smart not harder and using all the tools you have at hand. Weather that be a periodic table, equitation sheet or graphing calculator. As your tutor I would help you learn and figure out ways to make all your available tools be as effective as possible.
