About Josef
I’m Josef, a qualified teacher and current Doctoral student in TESOL and MA student English Language Teaching graduate with a passion for helping university students excel in academic English. With a background in law and modern languages, I specialise in academic writing, essay structuring, and language acquisition strategies. I have taught English and German in London secondary schools and mentored university students internationally. My approach is tailored, supportive, and grounded in research. I focus on building confidence, improving academic performance, and developing independent study skills. Having studied both law and language education, I understand the demands of academic writing and critical thinking. I am here to help you achieve your goals, whether it is preparing for exams, refining essays, or enhancing your fluency in English.

My lessons are student-centred, interactive, and tailored to meet individual learning goals. I begin each session by identifying your specific needs, whether it is essay planning, academic writing, grammar, or presentation skills. Together, we will set clear objectives and work through structured tasks that develop both understanding and confidence. I use a variety of resources, including authentic academic texts, model essays, and interactive activities to enhance engagement. Lessons typically include a mix of explanation, discussion, and practice, with regular feedback to track progress. I also offer guidance on effective study techniques, critical thinking, and independent learning strategies. With a background in teaching at both secondary and university levels, I understand the academic pressures students face. My method combines research-led strategies with a supportive teaching style to help you achieve success in your studies.
