About Savannah
Discipline defines my teaching approach as I guide students through complex musical challenges. I possess a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and have dedicated 13 years to private instruction. My experience spans from supporting nervous beginners to rigorous grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity boards.
I cover rhythm and timing alongside essential music theory and pedaling technique. Dynamics and expression are prioritized alongside sight reading and chord voicing to ensure well-rounded musicality. Pianists begin by calibrating their posture and touch at the keys to ensure physical efficiency. We immediately verify technical mastery of scales before transitioning into the current repertoire.
Correct dynamics are scrutinized against the score to build an informed interpretation. My background as a performer ensures that every measure is treated with professional rigor.
Students often find that rigorous attention to detail is actually quite enjoyable when the results begin to manifest in their sound. The structure of these 9 minute focus blocks allows for deep technical correction.
I apply my degree from the Manhattan School of Music to help you refine your performance habits. The progress made in these sessions is consistently visible over time. Achieving technical clarity remains the most rewarding aspect of our time together.
