About Ann
Hi! I’m Ann. I work with students who feel behind, frustrated, or overwhelmed with English and Maths — and help them rebuild both their skills and confidence.
With over 6 years of experience tutoring students from Kindergarten to Year 10, I’ve supported learners at all levels, particularly those who need extra time, patience, and a different approach to truly understand what they’re being taught in school.
I know that when a student starts to struggle, it’s not just about the subject — it can also affect their confidence, motivation, and how they see themselves as a learner. My goal is to change that.
What I help students with:
• Learning to read, blend sounds, and build strong early literacy skills
• Improving reading comprehension and understanding school texts
• Writing clear sentences, structured paragraphs, and creative responses
• Spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Building strong maths foundations, including number sense, working with the four operations, and solving problems step by step
• Breaking down multi-step maths questions so students can approach them with confidence
• Catching up on missed concepts and preparing for school assessments.
My approach:
I break both English and Maths concepts down into simple, manageable steps so students can truly understand — not just memorise and forget.
Lessons are calm, supportive, and tailored to each student. I take the time to explain concepts in different ways until it “clicks,” helping students feel more confident asking questions and engaging with their learning.
