About Anss
Hi! My name is Anss, and I’m a pre-med student double majoring in Biology and Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. Science has always been my passion, and I enjoy helping others see that these subjects don’t have to feel intimidating, and they can actually be engaging and rewarding with the right guidance. I’ve worked as a Teaching Assistant for these courses, where I gained experience leading discussions, clarifying tough concepts, and guiding students through practice problems. Through this role and private tutoring, I’ve developed a teaching style that focuses on patience, clarity, and building confidence step by step.

I believe the best learning happens when complex ideas are broken down into simple, clear steps. I use active recall, practice problems, and real-world examples to make abstract concepts concrete.
A lesson usually begins with a quick review of previous material to strengthen retention. Next, I introduce new concepts in manageable chunks, followed by guided practice problems. Toward the end, students work through examples on their own, while I provide feedback and strategies for improvement.
As a pre-med student double majoring in Biology and Psychology with a Chemistry minor, I understand the challenges of mastering science and math at different levels. I bring both academic rigor and empathy, I’ve been through the same classes and know how to explain concepts in multiple ways until they click. My goal is not only to help students perform well on tests, but also to build confidence and long-term problem-solving skills.
