I take my role as a tutor seriously and strive to create a learning environment where students feel supported, capable, and motivated to succeed. As a DePaul University graduate pursuing software engineering, I’ve built a strong foundation in both mathematics and programming, supported by over five years of consistent hands-on experience. My background includes working on independent projects and solving complex problems, which allows me to guide students with both theoretical understanding and practical insight.

I prioritize clear communication, patience, and structure in every session. I understand that every learner progresses differently, so I focus on building confidence step by step while maintaining high standards.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centered on building strong fundamentals while making learning engaging and practical. I focus on breaking down complex concepts—especially in math and programming—into clear, manageable steps. I use real-world examples, guided problem-solving, and interactive coding exercises so students don’t just memorize solutions but truly understand the “why” behind them. I also adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and learning preferences, ensuring they stay confident and motivated.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by introducing a new concept with simple explanations and examples. Then, we work through problems together, gradually increasing difficulty. I encourage students to think out loud and attempt solutions independently while I guide them when needed. Each session ends with a recap and optional practice challenges to reinforce learning.

What sets me apart is my passion for problem-solving and my hands-on experience with coding and math over the past five years. As a DePaul University graduate pursuing software engineering, I bring both academic knowledge and real project experience, helping students connect theory to actual applications.
