About Amanda
I am an Early Childhood Educator of 10 years, with experience in all age groups - running a before and after school program independently and also as a Site Supervisor. I've also worked with the Lambton Kent District School Board, and have a good understanding of the Kinder program and learning objectives. As someone who loves to read I have a passion for teaching its importance to children and feel that by education and experience give me a fun spin on tutoring the youth who are new to reading and writing.

I use a mixture of teaching strategies based on my students individual learning style and curate the best lesson plan for them. I adhere to phonics guidelines to ensure easy to follow lessons that mimic teaching within the school system. I add fun games, songs, pictures and more to make learning fun and engaging and help it stick! I use in person lessons along with google classroom to make our lessons easy to review and practice together or apart, and for parents to have access to stay up to date with their child's progress. I work with children from kindergarten to grade 3 on all things reading and writing, so they have the best foundation moving forward.
