Economics is a subject I genuinely love, and I love teaching it to students who feel that it is difficult, complicated, or simply “not their subject.” My aim is to make Economics simple, relatable, and interesting — not something you just memorize for an exam.
Here’s how I teach a concept like Opportunity Cost:
Imagine you have two hours before an exam. You can either study Economics or go out with your friends. If you choose to study, your opportunity cost isn’t “the two hours you spent studying” — it is the next best alternative you gave up: going out with your friends. Once you understand it through a situation you’ve actually experienced, the textbook definition suddenly makes sense.
That is the kind of teaching I believe in — understand the concept, connect it to real life, and then learn how to write it in an exam.
I have 5 years of teaching experience and have worked with students with different learning styles and abilities. I’m patient with doubts, use simple examples and memory techniques, and break down even complicated concepts step-by-step. I also focus on application, answer writing, exam technique, and, most importantly, building confidence.
I don’t want my students to leave a class having simply copied notes. I want them to leave thinking, “I actually understand this now.”
If you find Economics confusing, struggle to remember concepts, or want to take your marks to the next level, I’d love to help you discover that Economics can actually be one of the most interesting subjects you study.
