About Max
I am currently an electrical engineering student at Grand Canyon University with a strong background in mathematics, including algebra, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, and other college-level math courses.
I know that math can become frustrating when one concept does not fully click, especially when new material continues to build on it. My goal is to create a patient and comfortable environment where students feel free to ask questions and work through mistakes without judgment.
I come prepared, communicate clearly, and adapt each session to the student’s current class, goals, and learning style. Whether you are trying to catch up, prepare for an exam, or get ahead, I want you to leave each session understanding the material better and feeling more confident solving problems on your own.

My approach to tutoring is focused on helping students understand why a problem works, not just memorizing the steps to solve it. As an electrical engineering student, I use math regularly and know how important it is to have a strong foundation before moving on to more difficult concepts. I try to break problems down into simple, manageable steps and adjust my explanations based on how each student learns best.
A typical lesson starts by identifying what the student is currently working on and where they are struggling. We can review the concept together, work through a few examples step by step, and then have the student try similar problems with less guidance as they become more comfortable. I also like to go back and address any gaps in earlier material that may be making the current topic more difficult.
What sets me apart is that I am still a student myself, so I understand what it is like to learn challenging math in a classroom setting. I can share the techniques, shortcuts, and ways of thinking that have helped me through my own math and engineering courses while keeping lessons relaxed and approachable.
My lessons are best suited for middle school, high school, and early college students. I can help with general mathematics, pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus, whether you need help understanding a specific topic, completing homework, preparing for an exam, or strengthening your overall math skills.
