About Cally

I am a professional classical singer and singing teacher with a background in music from two leading European conservatoires. I studied Vocal Studies at the Royal Northern College of Music where I received a first-class degree, followed by a Master's degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague in the Netherlands, studying Vocal Studies (early music).

I have sung for organisations such as The Grange Festival Opera, Iford Arts, Dutch National Opera, The Dutch Radio Choir, The BBC Daily Service Singers, Merry Opera, Opera on Location, and as an oratorio and concert soloist. I am also a yoga teacher with 450+ hours of training, experience that I bring into every singing lesson I teach.

I am based in Altrincham and have a particular interest in helping young people develop a lasting love of music and the confidence to express themselves through singing.

About the lesson

I am a professionally trained singing teacher with a BMus in Vocal Studies from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and a Master's degree from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. I offer friendly, personalised singing lessons for children, teenagers and adults in Hale, Altrincham and the surrounding area, with online lessons also available.

My aim is to help every student develop a strong, healthy and confident voice while making singing enjoyable. I’m a supportive, encouraging teacher who nurtures each student’s confidence and individuality, choosing repertoire they genuinely love and that allows their voice to shine. Whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced singer looking to develop your technique, or preparing for an ABRSM exam, audition or performance, I tailor every lesson to your individual voice and goals.

As a mum to a little girl who loves to sing, I understand how important it is to find a teacher who nurtures a child’s natural joy and confidence in using their voice.

Lessons include:

I have extensive experience working with both children and adults and believe lessons should be encouraging, challenging and enjoyable. For younger students especially, I use a playful and engaging approach while building excellent vocal and musical foundations.

Alongside my teaching I have a professional background as a classical singer and have trained at some of the UK and Europe's leading conservatoires. This means students benefit from a high level of technical and musical expertise, whilst lessons remain relaxed and accessible.

Whether your child dreams of performing on stage, wants to prepare for an exam, or simply loves to sing, I would love to help them discover what their voice can do and develop a true love of music!
