About Martina

Over the course of my first year of college at Brookdale Community College, I have grown as a person. I have not only grown in knowledge, but also in wisdom. College helps to nurture and expand the mind. I have had to spend countless hours preparing for exams and studying in general, especially in the chemistry lab. My second semester in the chemistry lab was far more time consuming than my first. However, with the support of family, friends, and peers, I managed to succeed. I have definitely experienced my fair share of late nights. It is worth the struggle, and I am grateful for every opportunity I have had. I want to especially thank my late grandfather, Dr. Joel Novick, for investing in my college funds when I was an infant.

About the lesson

I am willing to help the student, whether it be extra help, additional practice, or simply having a conversation about the subject. I would be able to recommend many resources, study habits, and other alternatives. I understand that every student learns differently, so I want to provide a holistic tutoring approach. I would probably first want to talk with the student and his or her parents, regarding the student’s needs. I have many valuable resources for subjects, such as chemistry, entry level biology, mathematics, including up to second year calculus, and more. I can also recommend textbooks if needed. I am also familiar with Microsoft, including Powerpoint and Excel.
