About Krishna
I'm Krishna! I am currently a sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying chemical engineering with a minor in computer science and sustainability. In addition to being passionate about chemistry, I love teaching math and physics to others, since these are the basic studies that I really enjoyed!
I have previous experience with tutoring during my time at Mathnasium. I have taught kids from ages 6 to 18 all sorts of math, from basic arithmetic to multivariable calculus. I know how to help people understand certain topics, and I am confident in different tutoring styles to account for different students.
My qualifications include:
- Previous experience with math tutoring, working at Mathnasium. 800 on SAT Math Section
- Received an A+ in college physics as well as 4's & 5's on the AP Physics Exams.
- 700 on SAT Reading Section
I love to meet and help new people and I am very responsive and easy to reach. I am also very open to suggestions from students and parents. Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Typical lesson plans will include practice with whatever subject we are learning as well as a discussion. First, I just want to learn more about my student. Specifically, I want to know what they can do and what I can help with.
As a student, I have found that a discussion about different academic problems is what helps me learn best, so I intend to create a space to vocalize our learnings and questions about the material. Next, we go back to practice but in a more vocal environment, where the student can explain their thought process and I can provide feedback.
My lessons are really targeted at whoever needs them! I am able to work with many different people teaching many different subjects. The one requirement I have is that you come with a positive attitude!
