About Jonathan
Hi! My name is Jonathan, and I recently completed a BA (Hons) in English at University of Manchester.
I've always enjoyed literature and writing, from working on personal research projects in my own time to constantly discovering new books and ideas. Literature has given me a strong sense of escapism and enjoyment, while also leading me down fascinating research journeys into history, politics, philosophy, and culture.
Whether you need help preparing for exams, improving essay structure, analysing texts, or building confidence in English, I’ll work with you to help you reach your goals

My teaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student's needs. I focus on building confidence alongside academic improvement, helping students develop clear essay-writing skills, critical analysis, and strong textual analysis that can support them in a variety of subjects.
My lessons can range from 60 minutes to 2 hours long.
I hold a BA (Hons) in English from University of Manchester. My academic background has given me strong experience in literary analysis, essay writing, research, and critical thinking.
Alongside my degree, I have developed mentoring skills through mentoring English for charities.
