About Mia

Hi, I’m Mia, a UNSW Commerce graduate with a strong academic foundation in English and a love for helping young children become confident and capable communicators. I’m a patient and understanding tutor who believes that every child learns differently. Whether your child is a visual, auditory, or hands-on learner, I personalize each lesson to match their unique learning style and pace. My goal is to create a space where learning feels enjoyable, safe, and empowering. I focus on helping children aged 5 to 12 build strong skills in grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and spoken English. I speak with clarity and encourage proper expression, while also supporting creativity and confidence in language use. Lessons are available both online and in-person, and typically run for 45 to 60 minutes. I take the time to plan engaging, age-appropriate sessions that keep children motivated and proud of their progress.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Mia, a UNSW Commerce graduate with a strong academic background in English and a heartfelt passion for helping young children build confidence through language.

Growing up, English was always my favourite subject. I graduated high school with a 91% grade in it, and I’ve carried that same love for reading, writing, and communicating into adulthood. But beyond grammar rules or essays, I believe language is about expression, confidence, and finding your own voice and that’s what I help children do in my classes.

My lessons are designed for young learners aged 5 to 12 and are completely tailored to each child’s needs. Whether your child is shy with speaking, struggling to write clearly, or simply needs extra support with reading - we take it one step at a time, at their pace. I combine gentle structure with creativity: think storytelling, real life examples, word games, and personalised tasks that make English feel less like schoolwork and more like discovery.

Lessons usually run for 45–60 minutes, and I offer both online and in person options. My approach is warm, encouraging, and consistent. I know how much of a difference it makes when a child feels truly supported.
