About Taragh

Hi, I’m Taragh, a dedicated and enthusiastic language tutor currently studying a Bachelor of Education in Languages at the University of Limerick, where I specialize in French and Irish. As a third-year student teacher, I have developed strong communication, teaching, and classroom management skills through both academic training and practical teaching experience.

I have experience teaching and supporting students in French, Irish, and English, helping learners improve their confidence, understanding, and overall language ability. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs and goals. My lessons are patient, encouraging, and designed to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

I am passionate about languages and education, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in speaking, grammar, pronunciation, and written work. Whether you are preparing for exams, improving conversational skills, or learning a language for personal development, I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive, and effective.

As a future qualified teacher, professionalism, reliability, and strong preparation are very important to me. I take pride in creating organized and enjoyable lessons that help students achieve their full potential.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centred and tailored to each learner’s individual goals, level, and learning style. I use practical conversation, interactive activities, pronunciation practice, grammar support, and real-life examples to make lessons engaging and effective. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and motivated, so I focus on creating positive, enjoyable classes that build confidence naturally.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student’s needs. Each lesson is structured but flexible, allowing students to learn at their own pace while steadily improving their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

I have TEFL training and experience supporting English learners from different backgrounds and levels. I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping students achieve their language goals, whether for school, travel, work, exams, or everyday conversation.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults from beginner to intermediate level, including students who simply want to improve their confidence speaking English.
