About Chloe
I am studied English literature and psychology whilst at university and am extremely passionate about education. I have recently completed my TEFL certificate and am extremely fond of teaching methods that are primarily based on the students level, and the way in which they best receive information. I have a lot of experience in the classroom due to the fact that my mother was teacher and have done multiple tutoring jobs while at university. My tutlings found that they were better able to understand examination questions and answer questions in a more fluent and academic fashion.

I believe that lessons should be entertaining, insightful and interactive. I am extremely fond of using resources such as presentations, activities and short video clips to make the learning experience more memorable. I make use of methods that make use of visual aids, interactive activities and a lot of student talking time, either to me as a teacher, or in pairs or groups with their peers. Furthermore, I ensure to always be approachable, patient and as open to questions and queries as possible. A general lesson would include a new article of knowledge to be introduced to the class or student, which is then followed by exercises and the repetition of the item as drilling is effective. Following this would be the time for activities to be completed and any questions or further explanations would be attended to as a one on one, unless it is a group query. I believe it is important to ensure my students feel their needs are met and that they are aware that they have a teacher who is available and that is eager to help them.
