About James

I started to teach when I was in my 3rd year of high school because teaching and helping others is what I really enjoy to do. So I started tutoring as my first job as a ESL (TA) at a afterschool program in my high school. When I graduated they offered me a part time job to work at the program and up until last year I was tutoring ESL 1,2,3,4 and Advance. While I was buiding up my experience as a private tutor, I was offered a full time position at a private company called Prep EDU.
In total if I can add all my students together I'd say I taught about 50 students. To be honest learning a new language is very hard and you can't learn everything in one day. The outcome was a steady progress there grades didn't jump a letter grade every report card. But with my help their speech got alot better and to a point where they can communicate with other people as well. Their sentence structure improved exponentially.
So let me help you over come language barriers and one step closer to mastering the most common used language in the world.

About the lesson

Currently teaching as a private tutor for people like your self who wants to learn english as a second language.
I am also a teacher assistant (TA) at Prep Education to teach english to foreign exchange student.
Learning English with me will be very simple and fun, I can guide you step by step starting out with the basic. For example will start out with the the alphabet, the vowels and the pronunciation, as lesson one. You will need to learn this before you can move on to the next subject. If you choose me as your private tutor you will learn that ilike to teach in small quantities, I do this because learning a new subject or better yet learning a new language is not a easy task. Learning too much is a bad idea.

Details

The rate for $25/h is for beginners as the students advances there will be an extra fee. There's a work book I personally use that will be $35. But before you waste your time and money, everytime I get a new student I like to give them a verbal/written exam. Just to give me a basic knowledge of what level he's at. I like to remind you the fee you see at top it only applys to students who have little to no knowledge. I charge extra if its for strengthening verbal/ written communications the rate for that one is $55/h this includes everything your child needs to be successful in English. For example you will learn how to properly format an essay, or be prepare you to take the AP English test.
