About Me

Hi, I'm Nurkan!

I'm a C1-level English speaker and I developed most of my English skills through self-directed learning. This experience taught me that improving a language is not only about studying grammar and memorizing vocabulary, but also about using the language regularly and becoming comfortable with making mistakes.

I enjoy communicating with people, learning about different cultures, and discussing a wide range of topics. I believe that a friendly and comfortable learning environment makes it much easier to speak English without worrying too much about making mistakes.

As a tutor, I am patient, supportive, and attentive to each student's individual goals. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and expressing themselves freely.

About My Lessons

Hi, I'm Nurkan, a C1-level English speaker who focuses on helping adults become more confident and comfortable speaking English.

My lessons are mainly conversation-based and designed for students who understand English but want to speak more naturally and confidently. I believe that regular speaking practice is one of the most effective ways to improve fluency, vocabulary, and communication skills.

A typical 50-minute lesson can include a short warm-up conversation, a main discussion topic, practical speaking activities, and feedback at the end of the lesson. Depending on your goals, we can practice everyday conversations, travel situations, workplace communication, meetings, or other real-life situations.

During the lesson, I encourage you to speak as much as possible. I take note of important mistakes and areas for improvement rather than interrupting you constantly. We then review them together and work on more natural vocabulary, expressions, pronunciation, and sentence structures.

What sets my approach apart is that I want lessons to feel like real conversations rather than traditional classroom exercises. I also developed my own English skills through self-directed learning, so I understand the challenges of learning English independently and the importance of consistent practice.

My lessons are particularly suitable for adults at A2, B1, and B2 levels who want to improve their speaking skills for everyday life, travel, work, or personal development.

The lessons are relaxed, supportive, and adapted to each student's goals and interests. You don't need perfect English to start — making mistakes is a natural part of improving.
