About Sayan

I am currently pursuing my BA in English Honors and have a deep interest in literature, writing, and critical thinking. Over time, I have developed a strong understanding of texts, grammar, and academic writing through both my coursework and personal reading. I enjoy exploring different interpretations of literature and helping others see texts from new perspectives. Apart from academics, I am also interested in creative writing, which helps me teach in a more expressive and relatable way. I believe learning English should build confidence, not fear, and I try to create a comfortable space where students feel free to ask questions and grow.

About the lesson

I’m currently pursuing my BA in English Honours, and for me, teaching is not just about finishing chapters — it’s about making students actually understand what they’re reading and writing.
When I teach literature, I don’t just explain the summary of a text. I like to discuss why a character behaves a certain way, what the writer is really trying to say, and how themes connect to real life. I try to make literature feel alive rather than something students are forced to memorize.
For grammar and writing, I focus on clarity and structure. Many students lose marks not because they don’t know the answer, but because they don’t know how to present it properly. I help students organize their thoughts, write stronger answers, and build confidence in expressing their ideas.
A typical class with me usually starts with a short revision of the previous topic. Then we move into the new lesson, where I explain the concept in simple language. I encourage questions — even basic ones — because that’s how real learning happens. Toward the end, we practice together and I give small tasks to strengthen understanding.
What makes me different is that I genuinely care about how a student thinks. I try to understand where they struggle and adjust my method accordingly. Since I’m still a student myself, I understand exam pressure, confusion, and self-doubt — so I teach in a way that feels supportive, not intimidating.
