About Ivy

I have been passionate about English since my early years, which led me to earn a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics. Over 9 years, I have guided students of all ages and skill levels, helping them enhance reading comprehension, writing abilities, speaking fluency, and overall language confidence. My teaching approach emphasizes adaptability, engagement, and interactive learning, creating lessons that are meaningful, enjoyable, and effective. I focus on building both linguistic accuracy and creative expression, incorporating discussions, exercises, and real-world examples to develop critical thinking and communication skills. I encourage students to take ownership of their learning, experiment with language, and refine their unique voice. Outside teaching, I read extensively, analyze literature, and explore linguistic research. Teaching English is deeply rewarding because I witness students develop confidence, clarity, and expressive ability, equipping them with essential skills that benefit both academic and personal growth.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on grammar, vocabulary, composition, comprehension, and conversational fluency. I emphasize interactive activities, discussion, and critical analysis to enhance confidence, clarity, and effective communication. Lessons are tailored to both academic needs and real-world applications.

Beginners focus on sentence structure, vocabulary building, and basic reading comprehension. Intermediate learners work on essay writing, discussion skills, and textual analysis. Advanced students engage in research writing, debate, advanced literary analysis, and public speaking exercises. Each session integrates feedback, exercises, and interactive practice to ensure progress and mastery.

English instruction also fosters analytical thinking, effective communication, and creative expression. Students develop confidence in articulating ideas, interpreting texts, and approaching challenges with clarity. My goal is to make learning English engaging, meaningful, and intellectually rewarding while promoting lifelong language skills.
