At first I will give my student an introduction about Chinese language and let them know Chinese is NOT one of the most difficult languages in the world. Learning how to speak Chinese is actually quite easy.
And then I will start with some easy things, for example, I will teach my student how to count and write number 1 to 10 in Chinese. After the first lesson, I will get a general understanding of my student's Chinese level and know what they want to learn. I mean what they focus on, verbal or write. Then I will teach him/her with a specific learning schedule.
