About Jarrett

The first thing you will note about me that sets me apart from others is my enthusiasm and excitement. I think math is so genuinely interesting and cool, and I find the MOST joy in seeing people connect the dots, or finally grasp something that they may not have even known they did not know. I think math is understandable to all, just not made accessible, let me be the tutor that helps you understand!

About the lesson

I have worked in teaching positions across three different colleges, and worked one-on-one with several students in high school working on algebra or calculus.

I excel in an environment led by the student. I have a wider range of knowledge, which allows me to expound on nearly any topic a student may struggle with. This means I do best when helping a student work on homework, or coming in with a confusing topic they want me to generate example problems of on the spot.

I love math, and love to throw out different ways to think about things to try and help it stick. I firmly believe a one-size-fits all math curriculum leaves most in the dust, and I pride myself in helping firm up the foundations, enabling greater learning and understanding capacity with more complex topics :)
