About Tennison
Hi,
My undergraduate studies were in International Relations. After graduation, I took time off and taught English at a second language in Spain. I taught at a k-12 independent school, an afternoon English academy, and I privately tutored small groups/ 1-1 in my spare time. My youngest student was 3 and my oldest 63. Consequently I am confident in giving you a positive, worthwhile learning experience no matter your age, group size, or level.
While in Spain I completed a postgraduate certificate in Successful Teaching English Practices, and since returning home I have begun a Master of Teaching.

I keep my lessons conversational and geared toward improving listening/speaking skills. However, writing and reading skills are also developed along the way.
My teaching style is student focused, and I build classes based on what the student would like to learn. So please, if there is specific vocabulary or grammar structure your struggle with, please tell me. Also, if you would prefer that I take the reins, that is completely fine as well :)
