About Adelaide

Hosting GCSE and A-Level lessons since December 2017. These have ranged from teaching after school classes to year 9's, to 1-1 mentoring. I have had multiple regular students, and saw one of my 1-1 GCSE students go from a 4 to a 7 after two terms of tutoring. I am experienced with AQA and Edexcel, however I am happy to familiarise myself with any syllabus as they are all similar, and I enjoy the different approaches! Full DBS.

Throughout university I have held three different roles involving maths work: Student Advocate (providing group or individual support for those who need to improve their grades), Mathematics Outreach Team member (working with all students, particularly focussing on exceptional students who require additional mental stimulation), and volunteering through Action Tutoring and The Access Project (1-1 mentoring for GCSE students).

Since being back in Lincoln - 2019 - I have provided 1-1 mentoring through Superprof in person to GCSE students, but I am happy to expand to whoever needs my assistance.

About the lesson

We will have an initial lesson to go over any goals, and to gauge where we’re at. If you’re able to complete work prior, we will go through your test at this point too.

All contact hours after tend to be used to teach you topics or revise them. If you work better practising, then we can go through questions together. We will usually organise the lessons topics beforehand so I can bring relevant material for you.

I generally give students homework (optional) which I will mark and feedback.
