About Lakshan

Hello! I’m Lakshan, a dedicated tutor with a strong background in both Mathematics and Computing. I hold a Master’s degree in Computing and Technology from Northumbria University, London, and I have over 10 years of experience in problem-solving, logical reasoning, and applied mathematics through my work as a Software Engineer.

I offer Maths lessons for GCSE and A-Level students, focusing on building understanding, confidence, and exam success. I also support adult learners who want to refresh or improve their maths skills for study, work, or personal growth.

What I teach:

Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics

GCSE and A-Level exam preparation

Problem-solving strategies and logical reasoning

Tailored revision plans and practice papers

Why choose me?

Clear explanations — I break down complex problems into simple steps.

Supportive teaching style — patient and encouraging, designed to boost confidence.

Practical approach — connecting maths concepts to real-world applications.

Location & format:

Lessons available online (Zoom/Google Meet) or in person in London.

Flexible scheduling to suit your timetable.

If you’re aiming for higher grades, improved skills, or greater confidence in Maths, I’d be delighted to help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

In our lessons, I begin by understanding your current level and learning goals. I often use a short diagnostic test to identify strengths and areas for improvement, then create a personalised plan.

Each session combines explanation, worked examples, and practice problems. I encourage students to think through problems step by step and develop independent problem-solving skills. Between lessons, I provide practice tasks to reinforce learning.

My aim is not just to prepare you for exams, but to help you see the patterns and logic in Maths, so you feel confident tackling any question.
