About Marie

My name is Marie and I have been a teacher in secondary schools for the last 11 years, 5 of those being a head of psychology, sociology and health and social care.

I am currently on maternity leave and would like to tutor to stay up to date with my skills.

I have two little boys who keep me busy at home. I enjoy the gym and meeting friends in my spare time.

I lived in London for 10 years and loved it, but settled in the wonderful town of Ashby de la Zouch 2 years ago and have enjoyed the slower pace of life with my wonderful family.

About the lesson

I offer a tailored approach to each pupil I tutor, catering to their learning style, areas of focus and ability to ensure they are able to make progress and feel confident in their subject.

I want my students to enjoy the sessions, and therefore limit teacher talk, and offer creative ways to tackle areas of focus.

I know students want to be successful, and am able to clearly communicate difficult content and use my experience of exam to teach technique to help students to see improvements in their grades.

I am friendly, chatty, and have a good sense of humour that will make you feel at ease from the first meeting.
