About Harry
Hi! I'm Harry, a graduate of the University of Redlands with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Psychology. I've always had a passion for science, particularly understanding how and why things work, and I love sharing that curiosity with others.
During my undergraduate studies, I spent two years working as a peer tutor, helping fellow students navigate challenging courses in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, and Biology. Through this experience, I discovered how rewarding it is to help someone go from feeling completely overwhelmed by a subject to having that moment when everything finally clicks.
Beyond tutoring, I've gained hands-on experience working in healthcare, which has given me an even greater appreciation for the real-world applications of the sciences I teach. I also scored a 512 on the MCAT and a 34 on the ACT, so I understand firsthand the dedication, preparation, and study strategies required to succeed academically.
I consider myself patient, approachable, and genuinely invested in the success of the people I work with. I know that science can be intimidating, and I firmly believe that struggling with a subject doesn't mean you're incapable of mastering it. Sometimes all it takes is having someone explain a concept in a way that makes sense to you.
Outside of academics, I enjoy weightlifting, music, and spending time with my dog.

I believe that succeeding in science isn't about memorizing endless facts and formulas—it's about truly understanding the concepts behind them. My goal as a tutor is to help students build that understanding, develop confidence in their abilities, and approach challenging material with a clear strategy.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Psychology and have two years of experience tutoring college-level General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, and Biology. I also scored a 512 on the MCAT and a 32 on the ACT, giving me firsthand experience with the study strategies and critical thinking skills needed to succeed in demanding academic environments.
