About Melanie
I am an experienced lead classroom teacher with teaching and tutoring experience spanning kindergarten through 8th grade, along with proficiency in high school English and Language Arts. I have worked with a wide variety of learning styles and academic abilities, helping students strengthen both foundational skills and higher-level understanding. My background includes teaching reading, writing, grammar, essay structure, and math concepts from early elementary through 6th grade math.
As a classroom teacher, I understand that every child learns differently. I strive to meet students where they are while helping them reach their academic goals. Whether your child needs extra support, homework help, test preparation, or enrichment, I work to make learning clear, approachable, and enjoyable.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and academic goals. I specialize in creating clear, engaging instruction that helps students truly connect with the material instead of simply memorizing it. One of my greatest strengths is finding different ways to explain concepts until they “click” for the student. I frequently incorporate manipulatives, visual models, and hands-on learning activities to make lessons interactive and easier to understand.
I offer support in reading, writing, grammar, essay writing, and elementary through middle school math, including foundational skills such as multiplication, division, and fractions. My goal is to build both confidence and lasting understanding in a supportive environment
