About Jennifer

Culinary school graduate with many years experience teaching and cooking. I specialize in buttercream cake decorating

I have a true passion for cooking and sharing that passion with others. Making good food makes people happy. Teaching people who think they can't cook anything at all to cook food for their familes or themselves brings me a lot of joy.

I was certified by Wilton industries to teach cake decorating in my early twenties. I also have experience substitute teaching for the school board of broward county. A few years ago I taught baking courses in the adult education classes in the evenings.

Degree in International Baking and Pastry which included training in culinary arts. I have also worked with my friends catering business over the years.

About the lesson

First finding out what they already know about cooking. Then design a class around their knowledge and desires to learn.

I have worked with students that have no cooking experience, who called themselves bad cooks and we still have managed to teach them a few basic recipes that they can handle. They wanted to cook for their families and we achieved that. I have also worked with more experienced home cooks and helped them learn new ethnic cuisines that they are unsure of.

I have taught many people how to decorate and bake their own cakes as well.

Always be up front with your cooking goals so the instructor knows what you're really looking to achieve.

For private lessons, I charge $50 an hour for my time, then add in food costs.

Group lessons vary and can also be worked out to a group pricing depending on menu and food costs.
