About Lois

I'm a passionate, diligent Language Arts teacher who has taught both elementary and high schools students for a combined 19 plus years. Having taught in Guyana, and on several islands of the Bahamas I can confidently say that I've not only acquired much needed experience in teaching, but I've been exposed to the cultural background of my students. During those years, I've been able to implement a variety of teaching methodologies to achieve the best results in the classroom.

Added to continuous professional development sessions, I have a trained teachers certificate, and a Bachelor's in English Lanuage. I was always able to accomplish more than 80% passes in classes taught. Moreover, during the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school years, I had 100 % passes from A to C in grades 9 and 12.

My love for youth and education has led me into the field at the tender age of 17 years. There is nothing greater than to impart knowledge to the younger generation. I have 19 years teaching experience.

I have a trained teacher's certification as well as a Bachelor in Education Degree.

About the lesson

For a teacher to be able to best serve a student, he/ she has to know where that student is at educationally in order to create specific programs, schedule to cater for that student's specific needs. Additionally, my aim would be to find out which learning style/ styles will be most suited to achieve the best learning outcome for the student. One way to find out is by a brief interview or by administering a short quiz based on general questions, related to area of need.
From the results of the interview/quiz, specified curriculum will be planned and administered, using specific learning style.

Elementary, high school and a few adults, all from various diverse backgrounds.
