About Timneshia
I have proof that I'm the epitome of academic excellence. In high school, I graduated top 25% of my class, finishing with a GPA of 3.2, as for my undergraduate degree, I finished with a 2.7 (3.5 within my minor), and graduate school with a 4.0. I have a passion for anything ELA and social studies and I have adapted great studying skills to excel in both of these areas. I'm currently a member of Kappa Delta Pi, which is an internation honor society for those who are pursing education degrees. I am a mentor, so I assist my mentees with homework help, test prep, and submission of college applications. I did coordinate a homework help club at the Boys and Girls Club in my community.
Being able to service students; knowing that I'll leave a lasting impression on them.
I have always had a passion to service the youth in my community and have done so through multiple capacities. I'm currently pursuing my master's degree to teach. I've been servicing the youth for six years now.
I am a former substitute teacher and I'm currently prepping to return to the MAT program at my university. I have assisted students with homework help, test prep, academic coaching, and college application submissions. I have coordinated a homework help club at my local Boys and Girls Club.

Upon first meeting a new student, I allow the student to introduce him/herself, along with the introduction of who I am. I ask the student what s/he expects from me and what they are looking to accomplish during our sessions. I also ask students what is/are their learning style (s), so that I can be sure to accomodate them during the sessions. I be sure to let them know the expectation I have of them during our sessions to ensure that the student is successful.
I've worked with students from various backgrounds and populations.
Don't be afraid to stand firm in your expectations; you are the student and your education is important. You want to be sure that you are being taught/coached by someone who has your best intrest at heart.
