About Shannon

The services provided are student centered and focused on engagement, but most importanly meeting the students goals.

The work I do is a daily gift. When students have those moments of grasping a new concept or finally finding the book that makes them a reader, it thrills me. Moreover, the confidence built over time as the students start achieving more and more. It'a wonferful field.

Currently, a Reading Teacher and Reading Coach. Moreover, my certifications comprise of English and Educational Leadership, with endorsements in Reading and English Speakers of Other Languages. I work within K-12 education and have an array of experience building student achievement to teacher capacity.

About the lesson

While our schools and education system teach one way, not all students learn the same. Moreover, not all teachers teach the same and norms and procedures require consistent student shifting. It is important to understand just how each student feels, processes, and approaches their work: skills and strategies of learning/congintion. Moreover, I couple this with the standard reasons people look for tutors: grades, test scores, future goals and wants. It is imperative I understand the whole student experience in order to truly support my cleintel.
