About Zachary

I love to see children reach and then exceed their potential to learn. Over the past 6 years, I have taught children to become better writers and readers by focusing on phonics, phonemic awareness and reading comprehension, as well as critical-thinkers through my social studies background. Know matter the age group, which I have taught or tutored kids from ages 1 to 18, I can guide your child to a better and more enriching learning experience. Below are a list of my qualifications and experience:

PreK-4 Certified

Social Studies Certified 7-12

Master of Education

Teaching: I have taught children from ages 1 to 18 since 2013.

Tutoring: I started tutoring in 2015.

I throughly enjoy knowing that a student of mine can learn to read, write, and think critically about their work. I have worked with many students over the years that felt complacent, because they weren't given a chance to succeed. When a student works with me, I want that child to feel confident and capable of learning. When our session time is complete, they will leave feeling empowered, too!

About the lesson

The introductory session will allow me to assess your child's learning needs. I will ask a small serious of questions that can be easily answered. After which, I will come up with a learning plan that best suits his or her's learning style. Also, I am more than comfortable working with students who need assistance with their school work.
