About Autumn

My career goal is to become an educator. Right now, it is to become a mathematics educator however that is subject to change. The absolute most important aspect to me about becoming an educator is the impact I can have on a child’s life. You may never know what these children are going through. Trouble at home is a problem you see consecutively. Not only are you there to educate them, but you can also be there to become someone they trust. You become someone they can talk to on a regular basis and you can potentially save a child’s life without even knowing it. I have a lot of aspirations that I want to pursue in my life, and this comes from, I believe, that both of my parents never pursued anything past high school. I believe my father never even graduated from high school. Since neither of them barely graduated high school and both never even went to college, I strive to become what they did not. I aspire to educate children for many generations to come. Also, educators are needed now more than ever with the Coronavirus. I have already displayed how hard-working I am considering what I have already accomplished and one of those accomplishments was graduating as an honor graduate. I strive to graduate college as an honor graduate too and hopefully I can educate students into achieving that same goal whether they feel like they can or not, anything is possible. No matter what background you come from financially, it is never impossible to achieve those academic goals you have set for yourself most likely since early on in Elementary School. Anything is achievable with the right mentality and hard-working attitude.

I am currently attending Kennesaw State University majoring in Secondary Education with Concentration in Mathematics

About the lesson

I try to figure out the best way learning is for them. Is it easier for them to hear me explain how to work out the problem or is it easier to watch me work out the problem myself? Things of that nature.
