About Ruby
Senior Biology Major at Macalester College
Tutoring experience throughout highschool and in college tutoring middle school and high school aged students. Teaching experience with violin and viola.

I love tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to pass on an excitement for learning and for the subject matter! For students who need extra help, difficult subjects are daunting. Tutoring often provides greater interest and excitement about subjects when they start to make more sense to the student.
I think I have a fun and open attitude when tutoring, and I take a very patient and supportive approach with my students. I try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible while still getting through the necessary material, so that the work seems less daunting to the student. I hope that, through tutoring, my students are able to learn to problem-solve and work through issues on their own so they can continue to succeed when I'm not there.
I love music and have been playing piano and violin/viola for over 13 years.
