About Christopher
I offer patient, focused help in algebra through calculus and into university math. I'm a math teacher and an MIT graduate with degrees in physics and philosophy. My hourly rate is modest because the students and families who most need help with math are often unable to afford it. Prestige pricing is ridiculous and unjust.
For many students, math is a struggle because it’s unforgiving, mechanical, and taught without insight. It doesn’t have to be that way. I show students how developing understanding is the key to improved memory and problem-solving skills. I work with both remedial and accelerated students. I'm friendly, creative in my approaches, and I have experience with math anxiety. I also occasionally teach introductory Python coding.
I have degrees in physics and philosophy and I teach creative problem-solving at a Montessori high school.
