About Reid

I am a passionate Chemistry tutor with more than 3 years of teaching experience and a MSc in Supramolecular Chemistry. Chemistry fascinates me because it explains how tiny molecular interactions can create powerful materials. I enjoy sharing that excitement with my students.

My main interests lie in materials science and polymer chemistry. These fields focus on designing new materials and understanding the properties that make them useful. They play an important role in modern engineering and technology.

In my lessons, students explore case studies involving plastics, composites, and nanomaterials. We discuss how these materials are created and why their chemical structures give them unique characteristics. These examples bring chemistry to life.

A key part of my teaching is helping students understand the connection between molecular structure and material performance. Once students grasp this relationship, many difficult concepts become clearer.

I aim to create lessons that are both practical and inspiring. Together we can explore how chemistry helps scientists design the advanced materials of tomorrow.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is centered on clear explanations and structured learning. I help students build strong foundations so advanced chemistry becomes easier to approach. Each lesson links general chemistry with biological chemistry to show how molecular processes support life. We explore important topics such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and other macromolecules. Metabolic pathways and enzyme kinetics are also explained through practical scientific examples.

Case studies form an essential part of my lessons. Together we explore how chemical reactions function in biological environments and how researchers analyze them. This structured analysis helps students understand scientific reasoning instead of relying on memorization. I often guide students interested in life sciences who want to strengthen their biochemical knowledge. Lessons frequently connect chemistry to real biological systems.

The goal is to strengthen both knowledge and analytical ability. Students learn to ask meaningful questions and explore chemical mechanisms in detail. Gradually they develop confidence in complex biochemical topics. This approach reveals how chemistry forms the foundation of living systems.
