About Álvaro
I've been teaching classes for half a year. I have taught English, cinema and history. I have been teacher of several classes of adolescents aged 13-16 years old and have worked as private teacher of diverse students.
I have also made a cinephorum. The students to whom I gave classes approved with good marks both the Selectividad 2017 and the final exams. On the other hand, I have more than five years of experience as a instructor in free time and as a babysitter.

My name is Alvaro. I am an expert on High School and Secindary School people, but also at an universty level. History fascinates me. Cinema, music, geography and mythology also amaze me. And they all are related to each other.
My methodology consists of transmiting my passion for the subject to my students, making them see how everything has a reason, and I reject just memorizing data and dates. The key is to explain the subject in such a way that everything has a meaning. Make students understand an entire historical period through a simple movie or a song, if they are the right ones.
I really like to stimulate students to participate, to understand things on their own, to deduce the conclusions and to make questions. I have knowledge about drawing and I love it, so I always use it during our classes as a way to improve the comprehension.
Within general history, contemporary history (World Wars, Spanish Civil War, Cold War ...) and medieval history (especially the Byzantine Empire) are my greatest specialties. I also have training in music and music history.
