Vocabulary focuses on genuinely useful, everyday words rather than obscure or overly formal terms a student will likely never actually use in real conversation. We talk a lot, plainly and honestly, about real life, since I've found genuine conversation about ordinary things builds confidence faster than rehearsed, artificial classroom dialogue ever manages. I keep corrections gentle but honest, pointing out clearly what needs fixing without dressing it up unnecessarily or making a bigger deal of it than needed. Repetition happens naturally through real, ongoing conversation rather than forced, artificial drilling, since steady, plain practice over time genuinely builds lasting confidence.
