About Parker
I am unbelievably outgoing and energetic! I have years of nannying and camp counseling experience and am an expert in child care. I stand out as a tutor because of how I prioritize fun and the students' individual learning needs throughout every session. I get the most notable feedback from students and their families on how interactive I make each lesson. I love math, and I know how daunting and dull it can feel, so bringing in rhymes and songs to remember vocab and tools, using color coordination as much as possible, and talking through each problem as not a homework assignment, but an interactive mystery for us to solve together! I lead with smiles and meeting the student on their level, and leaving all stress and frustration around math at the door!!

I have been a tutor in many areas, but mainly in math. I always start by asking if there are any assignments or homework to be completed or upcoming exams to study for. With those answers in mind, we will break down the units and areas the student is currently learning or working on. Then beginning with briefly covering what the student feels confident in, and moving forward into what the student is struggling with or not understanding. We will work through each step, doing practice problems together and talking through the solving process.
