About Tabitha

Hi, I’m Tabitha! I’m a qualified primary teacher with a PGCE and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, and I absolutely love combining creativity with working with children.

Throughout my teacher training, I discovered how much I enjoy helping children find confidence in their own ideas and abilities. I’m a warm, patient and enthusiastic person, and I always want the children I work with to feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions and having a go.

My background in Fine Art has given me a real passion for drawing, painting and experimenting with different creative techniques, while my experience in primary schools has taught me how to make activities engaging and accessible for children with different needs and abilities.

I’m not interested in children simply copying a picture perfectly — I want to help them discover what they enjoy and develop their own creativity. I love seeing that moment when a child looks at something they have created and realises, “I did that!”

I’m really excited to share my love of art with children and create lessons that are enjoyable, encouraging and something they can genuinely look forward to.

About the lesson

I want art lessons to be something children look forward to, not something they feel they have to be ‘good’ at. My aim is to create a relaxed, encouraging space where children can experiment, make mistakes, develop their skills and, most importantly, enjoy being creative.

I am a qualified primary teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and experience teaching across the primary age range, particularly in Year 1. This means I understand how to make activities engaging and accessible while adapting my teaching to suit each child’s age, confidence, interests and individual needs.

Lessons can include drawing, painting, illustration, mixed media, exploring different artists and creative projects designed around the child. I can also help children develop specific skills or simply give them the freedom to explore their creativity.

Every lesson is personalised rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme. I want each child to finish a session feeling proud of what they have created and excited to try something new.

Lessons are available for children aged 3–11 and are usually 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age and needs. Whether your child is already passionate about art or is still discovering what they enjoy, I will meet them where they are and help them grow in confidence and creativity.
