About Onyx
Hi! I'm Onyx! I am a international student that came to the states a while ago, I'm a native speaker in Chinese but fluent in English as well, I have 2 years of teaching experience and I enjoy teaching any level of Chinese, from absolutely beginner to AP test prep, anyone is welcomed to join and learn. I tend to cover materials while maintaining a easy going atmosphere in the room since I am not a fan of boring learning environment either! Hope to see you guys soon!

I tend to make learning Chinese fun by providing lots of stories and games to help learning and memorizing vocabulary. my typical lesson plan is to first get a warm up to help students pick up from where we drop off, then going to the main lesson covering the schedule of the day while providing lots of different stories including life experience in Asia, traditional culture legends and current events. Lastly will have a Q&A session for anyone that has any questions about anything. I believe that I am different from a typical Chinese tutor by providing education while making learning fun, I understand how learning can be boring sometimes and will try my best to make everything enjoyable. the lessons are typically for elementary school to high school kids, however, other age level or AP preps are also welcomed.
