About Ali
Hi! I’m Ali - a 22-year-old Big 4 Audit Assistant Manager currently working towards my ACA qualification, with a strong academic background in Maths and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
I achieved an A* in A-Level Maths, alongside an A* in Economics and an A in Physics, and grade 9s in GCSE Maths and Further Maths. Through both my academic journey and professional experience, I’ve developed a clear, logical approach to problem-solving, which I bring into my teaching to help students understand even the most challenging topics with confidence.
My teaching style is calm, patient, and supportive. I understand that maths can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I adapt each lesson to the student’s pace and learning style, creating a comfortable environment where they feel confident asking questions and making solid progress.
Each lesson is typically 1 hour, tailored to the student’s individual needs, whether that’s strengthening core understanding, targeting weaker areas, or improving exam technique through past paper practice.
I work with:
GCSE students (Year 10 & 11)
A-Level students (Year 12 & 13)
Whether you’re aiming to boost your confidence, improve your grades, or achieve top marks, my goal is to make maths feel more manageable and enjoyable, while helping you achieve the best results possible as you are 1000% capable!

I take a structured yet personalised approach to tutoring, ensuring that every student receives lessons tailored to their specific goals and areas for improvement.
As someone currently working as a Big 4 Audit Assistant Manager and ACA student, I bring a high level of professionalism, organisation, and clarity to every session. I understand the importance of discipline, consistency, and clear methods - and I apply this to help students achieve real, measurable progress.
Each student begins with a short discussion to identify their current level, target grade, and key areas of difficulty. From there, I create a focused and adaptable plan to guide our lessons.
How lessons are structured
Targeted Planning - Lessons are prepared in advance based on the student’s needs, whether that’s specific topics or overall exam preparation.
Clear Explanations - Complex topics are broken down into simple, step-by-step methods that are easy to understand and apply.
Exam Practice & Technique - A strong emphasis is placed on past paper questions, mark schemes, and exam strategy to maximise marks.
Active Learning - Students are encouraged to attempt questions independently, building confidence and problem-solving skills.
Feedback & Progress Tracking – Regular feedback is given to ensure continuous improvement and to highlight areas that need further focus.

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
Ali has been an amazing tutor and would definitely recommend! He is very calm, patient and very understanding. I could ask him the same question 10 times and he will still take time to go back and patiently explain it to me until it sticks.
Always supportive and built my confidence heavily. He's taken my grades from a low set to the top set for gose maths.View more recommendations
