About Treasure
Who I Am and What Drives Me to Teach
I am a patient, compassionate and naturally encouraging person who believes that everyone learns differently. My approach to teaching is relaxed and learner-centered, creating a comfortable environment where students can learn at their own pace, ask questions freely and build confidence without the fear of making mistakes.
My motivation to teach is also deeply personal. I am a mother to a minimally verbal son on the autism spectrum, and supporting him with his communication and speech has taught me the importance of patience, consistency and meeting a learner where they are. I have learned that progress does not always happen quickly or in a straight line, but with encouragement, repetition and the right approach, small steps can become meaningful achievements.
This experience has shaped the way I see teaching. I understand that learning is not simply about delivering information; it is about understanding the person in front of you, recognizing their individual strengths and finding ways to help them feel capable. I bring that same patience and encouragement into my English lessons.
I want my students to feel that learning English is something they can enjoy rather than something they should be afraid of. Whether they are starting from the basics, working on their speaking skills or simply looking to become more confident communicating in English, I aim to create a supportive space where they can progress at a pace that works for them.
What drives me most is seeing someone realize, “I can do this.” For me, that moment of growing confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

My Teaching Style
I believe learning English should feel comfortable, engaging and enjoyable. My teaching style is relaxed and learner-centred, allowing each student to learn at a pace that feels right for them. Rather than rushing through lessons, I take the time to understand the learner’s level, goals and areas where they need additional support.
I encourage students to participate, ask questions and make mistakes without feeling judged. I see mistakes as a natural and valuable part of learning, and I use them as opportunities to build confidence and improve.
My lessons are conversational and practical, with a focus on helping learners feel comfortable using English in real-life situations. Whether a student wants to improve their speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar or everyday communication, I adapt the lesson to their individual needs.
For me, the goal is not simply to complete a lesson, but to make sure the learner understands, participates and leaves the session feeling more confident using English.
